What is Kybella®?

Kybella® is the first FDA-approved treatment that directly eliminates fat cells. It is an injectable treatment that targets excess fat underneath the chin. A a series of deoxycholic acid injections gradually dissolve unwanted fat cells, leaving you with a smoother, leaner profile. Because there are no incisions required, Kybella is a quick, safe alternative to other fat removal methods.

How Does It Work?

Kybella is a synthetic form of Deoxycholic acid, which is naturally produced by your body and helps absorb fat. When Kybella is injected into the area underneath your chin, the acid works gradually to kill fat cells. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store fat, which means your unwanted fat is gone for good.

How Much Does Kybella Cost?

Treatment cost will vary depending on your wanted treatment areas. Contact our office to arrange a 20-minute complimentary consultation with our injector for an estimate. Typically, 1-2 vials is injected underneath the chin per treatment session.

The fat cells that are eliminated by Kybella® injections are gone for good! The body naturally eliminates them. Typically, clients need 2-4 sessions to achieve their desired aesthetic results and will see the results within 3 months. The use of Kybella® is restricted to adults aged 18 and older.

Am I a good candidate for Kybella®?

Those over 18 who are bothered by excess fat but do not want surgery can benefit from a Kybella® treatment. This treatment should not be administered to pregnant or nursing women.

How soon will I see the results after Kybella® treatments?

The patient receives a series of injections over time, gradually removing more submental fat cells with each injection. With Kybella®, you can expect to see results within 4-6 weeks of your first treatment, with fat reduction continuing with each subsequent appointment.

How long do results from Kybella® last? Is it permanent?

Injecting Kybella® into specific fat-storing areas destroys fat cells. Once those cells have been destroyed, fat cannot be stored or accumulated there. Once you have achieved your goals, you shouldn’t need any further Kybella® treatments.

Will I have downtime after my Kybella® treatments?

The downtime associated with Kybella® is minimal. The procedure is safe and minimally invasive. It is recommended that you wait 48 to 72 hours before returning to normal activities.
